Teddy's Story

I have always desired to own a mini horse, because I knew that they posed a different sort of challenge than a normal horse did. I wanted to learn from one and knew that working and playing with a mini would develop and grow my savvy in many ways. Last year when I was originally looking for a new horse (before I found Woody), we went to look at a horse owned by a family at my school. We decided not to buy him, but I noticed while I was there looking at Skip, they had a little mini horse. He was adorable, but round as can be, and I told the family I loved him. Fast forward a year and Mom, Terrie, and I are back on their farm looking at the little rascal because the family was moving into town and had to give him away. We loved him, and after some time, loaded him onto the trailer and brought him home. Today we are playing as much as we can, and he is learning the basics of communication and play. Eventually, I hope to teach this horse many tricks and be able to play with him at Liberty and also play with him from my horse's back. He is such a fast learner I have no doubt that he will meet these expectations and possibly exceed them!

More About Teddy's Horsenality

After owning and working with Teddy for a couple of months, I have redone his Horsenality chart based on what I feel his true Horsenality and innate characteristics are. He is definitely extroverted, and though he is so darn curious and smart, he is also extremely reactive and tends to take flight easily, especially in learning situations. He is definitely an interesting little guy, and he is so fun to play with and teach because he picks it up SO fast! This little guy has a bright future, there is no doubt about that!
